Douglas County Community Response Team (CRT)

The Douglas County CRT is committed to improving victim safety and autonomy and holding offenders accountable for their abusive actions through the appropriate sharing of information. Sharing increases the effectiveness of our community's response to domestic violence and sexual assault and improves the processes by which cases are addressed by the entire system.

The CRT meets monthly and usually at the table you'll find people from Victim services, Victim Assistant Unit, Immigration specialists, several tribes, County prosecutors, sheriff deputies, police lieutenants, Probation, and SANE nurses (Sexual Assault Nurse Examers).  Also, the CRT has launched a Community Safety Assessment.  For a good review of what this entails, you can watch a fourteen-minute video here:  Praxis International.
